After I save a photo I receive thru an email, I'm unable to view or print it later. Is there a setting I should be changing?

What file type is it (right click it & click on properties) and what program are you trying to view it with.

It was saved as a .jpg. I was trying to open it in Microsoft Picture It and in Scrapbook Factory. Response is "sorry file can't be opened" or "unrecognizable format or corrupt". This isn't the first time I've had these responses, so I know it isn't just this particular file.

Is it just the one photo you can't open or is it any jpg. Can it be opened with Internet explorer or windows picture & fax viewer or windows paint.

I can't open any jpg. Windows picture and fax viewer says "no preview available" and Paint says "this is not a bitmap file or its format is not currently supported.

I really don't know why Windows picture and fax viewer says "no preview available" and Paint says "this is not a bitmap file or its format is not currently supported.
I was doing some work with jpg images about 6 hours ago using both and had no problem,but there is a free viewer that will do what you want and more.
