Phenom tlb fix problem with csgo

1083 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  crjdriver
So I have this processor amd phenom 9100e quad core 1.8 ghz processor which I use to play csgo. When I started playing first time I noticed that I have pretty low fps (50-70) in game and I did some research and found out that some amd phenom processors suffer from this thing called tlb bug. So I went to my bios setting and disabled tlb fix and got much more fps in cs go now (80 -120). However after doing that my csgo feels like slow and sluggish like I had huge input lag. This makes the game unplayable even tho I have more fps. With Tlb fix enabled there is no input lag and it feel right but the fps is horrible. Eithet way the game is unplayable so I have no idea what to do

That is an 8yr old processor AND it was mid-level [at best] when it was released. There is no way it is going to play modern games very well.
If you post all of your exact system specs, there might be a processor upgrade that would make a difference.
What video card are you using?
It would also help if you posted ALL of your exact system specs ie exact ram, exact pw supply, etc, etc.
Do understand that your cpu is now at least 4~5 generations old tech and that is multiple lifetimes in the tech world.
That's definitely not a speedy processor for quality gaming.

Yeah my pc is pretty potato but csgo is pretty light game to run tho. My videocard is geforce gt720, powersupply 500w, ram 6g and motherboard is asus

The GeForce GT 720 graphics card is what was recommended to me here for my 2009-era Dell desktops.
I'm not a gamer, but it works fine for videos, movies, etc..

That motherboard supports 8 GB of DDR2-800 RAM.
Have you thought about maxing it out?

There is not much you can do. That board only supports the first gen of the amd quad core cpus AND those were terrible performers. I had a 9950 many years ago and it was pretty bad.
Your video card is fine for basic stuff ie watching a movie, etc. There is a big difference between watching a movie and running modern games.

In short, live with it OR build a modern gaming system. The choice is your however investing money into your current system is just throwing it away.
