hi there,

I have noticed that when i change things on my desktop, for e.g, arranged icons in certain manner or change the window size of a music folder and place to to the left of the desktop it never save these settings after i log in again at a later point. (im logging off/shuting down normally and not just restarting the machine after these changes).

how can i make it save these personalised changes.
i'm loggin in as admin (with passowrd). using WinXp pro.

thanks. :D

Open Regedit. Backup the registry. Go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer.

Create a new DWORD and name it NoSaveSettings. Give it a Value Data of zero.

Exit the Registry. Reboot.

See if this makes a difference.
