PERSISTENT Malware

792 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  LiquidTension
Hi Everybody

My laptop is getting lots of malware files on a semi regular basis (about a week before it massively affects my laptop) and I remove them with Malwarebytes program (I kept it from a similar issue) but the malware files will just come back in a week or so- Im not going to any sites that would give it them, Does anyone know how the files are getting onto my laptop and how to stop it?

Thanks in advance

Make use of these 3 free security apps on a weekly basis.

AdwCleaner

Download and save it on the desktop, then open it, then run a "Scan" and "Clean".

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Download and save and install it, then run a "Threat Scan", then allow it to quarantine EVERYTHING it finds.

SUPERAntiSpyware

Download and save and install it, then run a "Quick Scan", then allow it remove EVERYTHING it finds.

Note: When the installing the last 2, make sure to decline any extras it offers, and make sure to decline to use the "Trial" or "Pro" version.

Thanks
They found a lot of stuff but SuperAntispyware has identified 2 Trojans and its the .exe files of command and conquer games that was downloaded from origin- will allowing the program to remove them not make the games inoperable?
I'm not a gamer, so I'm not familiar with "Command & Conquer" games.

If they were downloaded from dubious sites, they may contain threats that SUPERAntiSpyware is detecting.

It's your choice whether to delete those 2 "trojans".

Where are these files located, and why do you believe they are malicious?
