Permanently deleting files from micro SD card

I have plugged a 256Gb SanDisk micro SD card into an adaptor and into my PC. I deleted all relevant files in File Explorer.

There is no Recycle Bin option showing up when I right click on the memory card in 'This PC'. None of these freshly-deleted files appear in my main PC's Recycle Bin.

Anyone with advice on finding out where these files have gone? I skim-read an article on editing the registry to ensure a Recycle Bin function for any removable media like cards and usb drives. Is this the only option? I could reformat the memory card I guess but other than that...?

I don't delete files from sd cards nor USB sticks. I instead move the files to my computer then erase the files that are on the computer.
Here's why:
When a file is deleted from an SD card, it is no longer visible or accessible through the device’s operating system. However, the actual data is often still present on the card until it gets overwritten by new data.

Your best bet at this point is to format the card if you wish all the files removed. If some files still remain then I'd suggest you recover the "deleted" files
then move the files you don't want, off the card and erase them.
