It gave me no choice of where I wanted it placed the d/load was completed but I cannot find the file to printout

Do a file search on your computer: START/Search and type in: *.pdf in the search box. This will find all pdf files on your computer.

Right mouse on the link, then Save Target as.

This "should" show you the folder that was used as the default one.
