Pc wont boot correctly

553 Views 14 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  crjdriver
Okay so, I had my pc plugged into basically an extension cord. My mother had unplugged and re-plugged said extension cord multiple times whilst the pc was running. Now it tries to self repair but says it failed to repair. It says that the pc did not restart correctly and to restart and then it tries to self repair. Never ending loop. I found an repair, install, recover, restore windows 10 disc and wanted to know if that could fix this issue. Please help

Do you have anything important on the drive [that you need to save] ie docs, pics, whatever?

No there isn't anything really
If you can get access somehow, maybe a friend could let you use their computer for a while, you could make a Usb stick or DVD yourself using the Media Creation Tool :- https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/sof...s10?d2784474-fdb0-4e9d-9e47-5e88c0e053ec=True

Post a link to where you found the disk in your screenshot please, so we can see if it would work.

Found the disk on the Walmart.com app...
It would be better if you could use the link in Allan's post. The media creation tool will make the latest "Build" of win10 AND it is free. Since you already had win10 on the system, you will not need to enter a key. When you get to that page [where it asks for a key] just click the "I do not have a key" Windows will activate itself as long as there is internet access.

The version I had on my pc was already constantly asking for a key... I couldn't even change my screensaver...

If it was not activated previously, then windows will not activate itself and you will have to purchase a key/lic.
