Pc wont boot after trying to remove a USB sd card reader

Tried to remove a usb sd card reader that was so small and fiddly. Windows wasnt recognizing it was plugged in, so I thought I'd remove it, restart the pc, then try it again......but when I restarted the pc, macrium free 7 started and I'd never seen that screen before. I'm assuming the way I removed the reader triggered macrium.

I've tried closing it and restarting.....fixing boot....searching for a backup to restore from ( I found a file from December 2019 that is possibly from my previous pc as it's on an external hard drive )......so nothing really works to get me out of macrium reflect.

I managed to find a copy of (removed by Administrator), but my wireless mouse doesnt work and I'm not sure how I can restore windows using that.

I can access the bios ( gigabyte ) but besides changing the boot order so I can boot from the DVD drive, I cant see anything else that looks like I could use it to repair windows.

If someone could help me get windows to start again, I'd be hugely grateful.

My machine is windows 10, 64bit with 32gb of ram and it's a 2.9ghz quad core

Also....I tried setting up a macrium account but because the version installed on my machine is the free version, their troubleshooting form told me they couldn't even help me. Nice.

Hope someone spots this and says "ahh that's an easy fix"

Macrium can create an entry for itself in the boot menu, if you tell it to, so it looks like you did that.

Removing the Usb adapter may have changed the drive letters.
Go into the Bios and try setting the first boot device to the windows drive or Windows Boot-manager.
If nothing works try reconnecting the Usb adapter and see if it boots then.

I tried changing boot option 1 to what I thought was the c drive. There were 4 boot options and I picked something from the list that starts with SATA that wasnt the DVD drive (also starts with SATA ) and it went to windows boot manager which asked me for the windows disc, which I dont have as windows 10 was on the pc when I bought it ( isnt it supposed to store a perfect copy of windows on a partition so it can repair itself when it gets corrupted ?)

So I couldn't get anywhere with the boot manager and force shutdown again, put the usb sd card reader back into where it was and there are now only 2 boot options in the bios. There were 4,but I have a few external HDD plugged into a usb hub ( mains powered ) and that hub was basically right beside the usb slot that I plugged the sd card reader into.

I cannow only boot from the dvd drive or the other one which I tried and it went to boot manager. See the attached screenshots

I've edited your initial post to remove the reference to the boot CD because we don't support its use due to copyright issues.

Disconnect all external drives then try setting the internal drive as first boot device and see if it boots to windows then. If that fails set Windows boot manager as first device and try again.

Your 2nd picture shows the Windows 7 style boot menu, did you upgrade from 7 to 10 ?

How many drives are inside your computer ?
