PC turns on for a brief moment then shuts down

Hi,
I have been running into a problem with my PC for 2 days now. Whenever I try to torn it on, all the leds light up, but only for a brief moment, then the PC shuts down. I got it to turn on and run just fine after unplugging all the cables (usb, hdmi, display port and psu cable), then only plugging in the psu cable and turning it on. I haven't moved the PC recently and I haven't opened the case in a good while so I don't imagine anything came loose.
Please help!

Well, open the case and give the system a good cleaning with a can of air. Once it is clean, inspect the heatsink fan mounting to be sure it is secure.
Remove your ram chips and blow out the slot or slots with the same can of air. Reinstall the ram; be sure it is fully seated. Now attempt to pw ON. If the system will not complete POST, the first part I would swap would be the pw supply. Note you do not have to fully install a test pw supply. You can simply connect atx, aux/cpu, and video pw. Hot the ON button and see if the system will POST.
