Hi chrimbo
I believe world of warcraft is a very demanding game, and your friends pc is well above what they say is needed to run it.What they dont tell you is that unless you have a very powerfully setup you will only be able to run the game with the setting turned down to at least midway. This is the usual cause of the crash you are describing.
start you settings at low and slowly work up to were you dont crash.
Good luck

yes i agree but it also happens when he is just looking at certain webpages, like myspace google and others. it happens randomly.
Hi again
Sorry I did not understand what you said.If this is happening randomly and it is not over heating.to check this run with side open .
If it as only just started doing this then restart the PC press F8 when the bios screen goes
and press start PC at last good configuration,If that dose not work it could be windows files at fault.Try start/run/type cmd /in the black command window type sfc/scannow and hit enter.Have your windows CD ready as you may be asked to put it into your drive to replace files. If this dose not work I personally will Delate windows re-format the disk and clean install windows and all your drivers fresh 99% of the time this will fix your problem.
Regards
Rex
