PC not working, cable loose?

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place, however, I am a bit lost with my PC.

So I got this PC from a friend who had it for about 6 months, I have had it since March so about 10 months old.

I have never played over the limit of this PC as I didn't want to destroy/damage it or overheat it.

So played games like DBD, Apex and older games as I have never had a gaming PC.

However, we moved recently and I have had setup up the PC. All as before made sure it was protected during the move and basically treated like the most precious object to me during it.

I tried to boot it up yesterday, which worked and it worked fine and as usual. I then turned off the PC as I didn't have time to login into the Steam and do the updates on games.

Now, when I try to turn it on, the monitor says ¨no signal detected¨, the light and fans work and it seems to be fine but for some reason, it won't connect with the monitor.

I would say I am kind of skilled with tech - tried unplugging the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and cables and replugging in case this was the issue. Also, have tried different cables but had no luck.

I am at loss now so decided to open it to have a look at if one of the cables has come loose or something but as I didn't build the PC, don't want to damage it or change anything. I have included the pics here.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated as I don't want to pay for transport/tech person to come and tell me it was something minor and then end up with a big bill...

First of all, are you comfortable working inside the case? If you are, there is a troubleshooting guide at the top of the hardware forum. Read and follow the guide.
If you are not comfortable working inside the case, then your only real option is to take it to a shop.

I am somewhat at a loss since I do not see a video card in your pics. You did not remove anything did you? Some AMD processors have video built into the processor. These are the APU series OR a Ryzen with a "G" suffix.
I haven't removed anything, just removed the screws to take the pictures :) thank you for your help I will check the guide!
You are welcome.
Just an observation. That is some pretty old hardware. You have an asus 320 chipset motherboard. Those are first generation ryzen motherboards released approx 5yr ago. That was an entry level motherboard when released.
Yeah, the computer is after a friend, I wasn't the one choosing the parts, not sure who did and who has advised them. :) Are there any websites you would recommend for a newbie? I see the pinned threads on top of the software and hardware. Alternatively, any providers who upgrade pcs in the UK by any chance, please?
I assume you want to learn. This site is one excellent place to learn; another would be to do some reading and watching videos. Do understand that for every knowledgeable channel on utube, there is also one ran by idiots. SO do not take one person's opinion or one site's opinion as gospel.

There is a good possibility if this is Windows 10 that it was in the middle of installing updates and IF you failed to see the message
DO NOT SHUT DOWN YOUR COMPUTER
and did so that is the cause of the problem

Try this - see below for further details
Boot to Advanced Startup Options in Windows 10 | Tutorials (tenforums.com)

IF you watch carefully and there is a brief display when the computer is first powered on, but then within seconds it reports no signal detected, then this occurs when control is handed to windows boot manager and the system has been corrupted insofar as relates to the graphics driver.
If that is the case, then you need to boot as per the link above on option 6 - try first 3 times reboot

OR from a installation media. see the link
AND THEN try Advanced Options - startup repair
IF that does not work
try booting startup settings - SAFE MODE
SEE the LINK above with the images for how to proceed to those options

IF HOWEVER there is never any display even on first power on - but before you saw the POST screen - white on black or the Asus screen BEFORE it went to the lock screen for password etc.

then the problem is more likely to be, forgetting a faulty connection to the monitor at either end of the cable - other hardware related issues

There is a slight chance RESTART will work
Power on and then when the message appears - no signal detected - press the restart button on the front of the case.

Are you able to try another monitor OR a different connection to this monitor if it - the monitor - has more than one available
