In Internet Explorer, click Tools/Internet Options. Choose the content tab, then click the settings button next to Auto complete. Make sure the box is checked for Prompt me to save passwords.
OK your way out of there, and close and reopen Internet Explorer.
It should begin prompting you to save passwords. When you return to a site you have previously saved the password for, after the user name is filled in it will fill in the password for you.
