Recently I cannot log onto any site by entering my password. The site automatically rejects the password and I get a message that either the user name or password is incorrect. This is happening with all sites on different browsers. I contacted Microsoft and wast told that it is a browser issue. This has not been a problem before, perhaps it occurred following an update. Any suggestions?

Check that the computer's date and time (and time zone) are correct.

Both of these are correct. I have searched to see if I can find how to correct the problem. I can find topics regarding the system password, etc. I cannot find anything specifically that deals with password problems on every site where one is required and where most of the passwords are different.

I cannot think of anything else except for the highly unlikely: if you have a laptop without a numeric keypad make sure that NUM lock is not on.
