Password bypass (Windows 10)

476 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Couriant
I've had my laptop for four years but was only able to charge it up again yesterday. I was a lot younger when I made the password and (understandably) don't remember it. I've been trying to get in for ages, but have had no luck. I tried a good old factory reset, but it says I don't have enough disk space for that? I've also tried resetting the password using Microsoft, but it's so touchy. Please help!

Unfortunately we do not assist in bypassing passwords. Microsoft does have some directions, but if you are not able to complete them, then a clean install would be the best option, especially if you have not had the computer on for some time.
How exactly do I do that?
What's the brand name and model name and model number and serial number of your laptop?

If it's a Dell brand, also provide the 7-character service tag number.

We do have a guide here: Doing a Completely Clean Reinstall of Windows 10

Please can you answer Frank's question so we can check on your current setup.
