I need help in finding second c drive partition and second hard drive with partitions. Although seen in bios and system setup four non-dos partitions are not recognized by windows after reformat and reinstall of windows using standard commands. I reformatted and reinstatlled windows 98 three times. The main c primary dos partition with system files does boot up and hard drive seems ok by chkdisk and scan disk and norton utilities. I geuss I destroyed the partition format file in c drive ? Should I just buy partition magic or other program instead of screwing with windows format and installation procedures ?

you can use fdisk to create partitions. Partition Magic is a nice alternative that I prefer. I just use one (1) DOS partition using 100% of the drive. Additional partitions are usually not needed and don't protect you from hard drive failure. Removable media like floppies and CDR-W/CD-R CDs do.
