Had BigTime problem on my Win98SE with recent & regular blue screens, until I changed the 5 yr old battery, then everything okay for a day, marked problem solved, until rebooted, then back to regular blowups. So utilized System Config Utility per suggestion on previous thread, rebooted with *Selective* marked for reboot, and system working normally with:

(chk-ed) Process Config.sys file

(blank) Process Autoexec.bat file

(dim-- not checkable) Process Winstart file

(chk-ed) Process System.ini file

(blank) Process win.ini file

(chk-ed) Load startup group item

The PC is working so nicely, i don't want to *check* anything else! (haven't tried printing yet) Do I really need to re-start the unit or can I get away with it *as is* ? It ain't easy gettin' old, the PC i mean, I'm used to it :)
