When burning a dvd backup of OE files, the ReadOnly box changes from unchecked to checked. How can I preven this?

I don't know that there is a way. I believe all files get the read-only attribute when burned on cd/dvd. I've always just removed the read-only status after taking files off cds.
Or are you saying the the original file, not the one copied to dvd, is getting marked as read-only?

No the original file is not affected.
Is there a way to batch change all *.dbx files at one time? Is there some software which will achieve this?
