Hi, when I click a link in an email in outlook, it will not open in a new window now...it worked yesterday, but then I reset all my settings and now it wont work

Quit all programs that are running.
Click Start, and then click Run.
Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.
If this does not resolve the problemcontinue on doing these:
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll


Also make sure IE is set as default browser.

Try mobo's suggestions first. Then if that doesn't work, there have been several instances where the previous tip using regsrv32 does not solve the problem with hyperlinks not working. In this case try:

Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools / Internet Options
Click on the Programs tab
Click on the Reset Web Settings button

None of that worked,...and It all started when I reset my web settings...

Open the screen again for the web settings ( programs Tab) Then in each program dropdown window select the program you wish to use as default application then click OK
