I have outlook express 6 and I have it so that you have to have a password to log on to your identity... Anywho.. periodically the little login box will pop up while Im just browsing the internet or whatnot, and I have not clicked my outlook icon to even start my mail program.. is there any way I can make it so that it does not happen anymore, its getting kind of annoying.. Thanks for taking the time to read/help!

you're responding to something that requires an email response.

if outlook/outlook express requires a password and it isn't open you have to enter it.

eliminate the identity password.

Okay I guess I need to clarify my problem a little better... After leaving my computer for a period of time, I leave my computer on also, When I come back the box for outlook express for me to put in my password is there... I have done nothing touched nothing, just let my computer sit here and when I come back the box is on my screen?? Does that clarify it at all for anyone to help me?

Hi xoAndriaox

If I understand correctly, the password box is appearing even though Outlook Express is not running.
And the password being requested by Outlook Express is for logging into the Identity and not for accessing the mail server.

If you Reboot, and open the Task Manager, under the Process tab does the process msimn.exe appear?
If not, leave Task Manager open and try to duplicate the steps where the password box has appeared before.
When the password box appears, check in Task Manager to see if the process msimn.exe appears.

Do you have a batch file or other software set to start Outlook Express?
