Outlook Express 6 Passwords

Hi, Hope someone out there can help me with this one, nothing I have tried has worked.
Using Win XP and Outlook Express 6 on a new computer.
I can get online and surf fine. Everytime I try to check email, I get the window saying username and password, if I click ok, it comes back up, I retype the password and I can check, send and receive email fine. If I close Outlook Express and reopen it, same thing happens. I unchecked remember password, closed OE, reopened it, typed in the password and it worked, went in Tools, Accounts, Mail, and properties for that account and rechecked Remember Password. Closed OE, reopened it and the same thing happens.
Tried removing that account and readding it back, same thing.
Tired creating a new identity and setting up the second email address I have, same thing.
Anyone ever run into this one before? I sure could use the help.

Hi Eddie,
Thanks so much for the help. I looked all over the Microsoft site and couldn't find this. Found one just like it but not for XP and I couldn't find the key in the registry they referred to. Found it and now all is well again.
