I have been receiving complaints that some of my attachments are not coming through on other's computers. They are getting dat files, when they should have been jpgs and pdfs. I have emailed myself, without difficulty, I have emailed my work computer without difficulty, I have emailed web based email accounts without difficulty, I recieve the attachments just fine, but they are not getting to "the other side" even when I email them at the same time.
I am using Windows XP Home and Office 2000 Premium (which includes Outlook 2000).
Any suggestions would be appreciated

What mail client/system are the receivers using? There is a known issue between Outlook "Rich Text Format" emails being correctly interrupted by Lotus Notes. Try sending your emails in "Plain Text" format and see if that fixes the issue.

OL2000: (CW) Winmail.dat Attachments Included in Received Messages is if you have installed Outlook in Corporate Workgroup mode

(IMO) Winmail.dat Attachments Included in Received Messages is if you have installed Outlook in Internet Mail Only mode

OL2000: The Received Message Is Different from the Message That You Sent explains why the receiver might not see what you see.
