Out of the Blue, it won't turn on

Hello everyone, this is my first post to this forum. I am having trouble with turning on my computer. I am not sure if it is the power supply or possibly the processor but when I flip the switch on the back of the power supply, then hit the on button on the front of the computer, I get a light hiss and the fan on top of the processor spins about 30 degrees. The weird thing is that power is obviously not completely lost because of the second of motion and hissing, however, the fan on the power supply does not spin at all. I tried taking apart the P/S and cleaning it but this was not the problem. I don't get any lights or any other indication of power. Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Welcome to TSG!
At this point it is not advisable to attempt starting your unit. If your power supply is fried you certianly do not want to do anymore damage. Your best bet would be to remove your PS and have it bench tested at a PC Shop.

Hey Dave, I appreciate the advice, is there anything else I should bring in to have tested when I take the P/S to the computer tech?

Take the entire tower, it's possible the mainboard or more could also have been damaged by the powersupply.
