I have a few questions about browser that maybe some of you with a lot more knowledge in this area can shed some light on for me.

Is OPERA really better than IE when it comes to security issues. I have heard that IE will allow all kinds of junk to be installed on your computer while surfing where as OPERA, because it counters active-x or something doesn't allow it.

Is this true? I cannot understand how a browser that has been around a long time like IE is inferior in this area to OPERA or is just not true? If this is true, you would think that the IE developers would be able to come up with something to counter Spyware.

One thing I do notice though. Since I have made the switch to OPERA, I haven't seen a pop-up and my Spybot and Adaware scans find next to nothing.

Maybe someone could shed some light on this issue. Is OPERA really better at countering spyware or is that just not true?

Thanks in advance

DAVID
