I am getting lazier and lazier but that is what we use computers to handle menial tasks while we can focus on 'higher' tasks.

My Windows Explorer in XP Pro opens to My Documents directory.

Simple question is how t ochanging that default directory to something else.

Cheers!

This string: %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e,c:\ will open Windows Explorer to the C: drive instead of the default opening My Documents. RIGHT click the Explorer shortcut and choose Properties and simply add the last part of the string that is missing.

I changed to: ]%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /n,/e,f:\

rather than c: \ I used the f:\

but my problem is error message ovurs that /e is not a valid directory
