I just upgraded to v6.0 Adobe Acrobat for windows.
I get an error stating"Your current security settings prohibit running Active X controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."
I can not view or open the pdf files or download them at all.
Any suggetions.

in the Internet Options - go to security settings and click on "personalize".

There are five settings there for Active X controls. Experts advised me to set them as follows.

1) Active X controls knows as being secure for writing scripts - set at "ask"

2) Active X initialisation and script controls from sites not marked secure - set at "disable"

3) Execute Active X controls and plug-ins - set at "activate"

4) Download unsigned Active X controls - set at "disable"

5) Download signed Active X controls - set at "ask"

The wording may not be exact as mine is in French and I have to translate but you get the gist of it.

Once you've made these changes, you will get a box asking you if you want to allow the Active X controls and you can decide.

Hope this helps......Cookie
