Iam unable to send or receive emails from my gmail account in anything other than gmail itself. How do I get windows live to open it?

Im having this problem with outlook,
even after changing the security settings and following the help links...
seems like they make it harder and harder and the phones get smarter and smarter...
ironic how a phone can show me advertising after talking about buying a car, yet nothing about how to connect to gsuite via Outlook...

When you add the account in Outlook, it should ask you what service it's from. There is a Google option and then you just put your gmail account details in and, if set up, perform 2 Factor Authentication.

EDIT: I should say for 2016. What version of Outlook do you have?
