Did anyone have a speccy in the 80's? I did, and one of the games I was addicted to was Jet Set Willy.

I can rememer upgrading to a spectrum

from a zx 81

which replaced a self build zx80 (I had this thing about the zilog chips)

which replaced a nascom for which I had to buy a 4k tiny basic to use a proper keyboard(not hex/dec)

and they say"bring back the 70's

Yup, remember them all, acorn atom(for poor kids who couldn't afford a bbc)

Does anyone remember the jupiter ace? inbuilt language was forth, ran like stink but no software support
I went through a lot of computers in the late 70's early 80's

remember the sinclair mk 49? i think that was what it was called( basically a programmable calculator) but in them long lost days it was magical

I bought mine from a computer show at Earls Court, my mum paid for it and I had to pay her back £1/ week out of my paper round money (I got £2 a week !)

If I had ever made one, it would have ended up in the dustbin eventually !

some info on the Ace.

Released in April 1983 at the price of £89.95, the Jupiter Ace was a rather unique machine. Rather than the usual BASIC programming language used by their competitors, Jupiter Cantab equipped their machine with Forth.

In June 1983, a successor to the Ace, named the Ace 16+ was announced, but the company's demise in November of the same year meant that the machine was never released.

The machine's similar appearance to the ZX81, is not coincidental, as the designers, Richard Altwasser and Steven Vickers, were both ex-Sinclair employees.

Ok, so I've cleaned the red toilet, I've cleaned the purple room with the stairs to 3 levels and still the Old Lady won't give me bedroom rights! Where do I go now?
