I know it sounds silly, but in OE6 (Windows Home Ed XP), the layout toolbar changes quite unexpectedly without warning. For instance, I have it set at "small icons" - and then I go to click on "send" and it is right off the toolbar because the icons have become large. I remove the separators, and re-set it to small icons - but it happens again after a while.

What causes this please?

Does this occur as well when you restart OE6, or only when you do things like send email etc?

I must admit that when I re-start OE, it seems to be ok. I just can't understand how it can change from small icons to big icons without me doing anything.

You mean back to the original state that you configured OE to be? That means that everytime the icons change, if u restart OE it fixes the problem?

Yes - though it takes me a while to remember to restart OE, I try to fix it manually - but my question was - how and why does this happen?
