Wrong wiring, missing filter, could be any one of a dozen things, but it sounds like you need to contact the dsl provider/telephone company for one of their "technicians" to sort it out

Odd problem with my DSL/Internet
For some odd reason my dsl is green and works fine but if someone picks up the phone it cuts off then if the phone hangs up it goes back to working any idea what is wrong .the phone jack for the dsl and phones are in different rooms so why would it be doing this
