I found out about a little change you can do in your system regisistry that will bring up another tab in your nvidia graphics settings where you can change the speeds. I tried the detect optimal frequencies and it came up with the following results on my new HP laptop.

clock core frequency : 559mhz
Memory clock frequency: 923mhz

Ive never done any overclocking before but this seems like a pretty good increase over the standard 450mhz/700mhz. I was wondering if people think that its safe to leave it like this and if there are any side effects. (I havent noticed any problems with it so far). Will it affect its longetivity or battery life even if im not using its full power?

just be careful, keeping it that high could damage the system. if u want to overclock, make sure you have enough cooling and don't max it out leave some room for it to work with.

Yeah, generally, in a laptop, overclocking is a VERY bad idea. The main reasons being that there usually isn't much cooling going on in that tiny case, and that the graphics card is built into the the motherboard. I'm pretty sure you used CoolBits, and all that does is unlock the built in overclocking utility in the ForceWare drivers.

If you don't feel like buying a new laptop, I would suggest returning those values to normal.
