Well, this one really has me stumped. During boot, right after
the computer recognizes and assigns IRQ,s for PCI it then says
"NTLDR is missing press any key when ready" pressing any key
just makes it repeat. Scandisk won't fix it. other wierd stuff:
scanreg /restore won't work. The mem command won't work.
utilities cannot find registry backup. Other stuff: I recieved a
lack of memory report (actual is 350+MB ), command com anamoly
(which I replaced ). Reinstalling Windows won't work. Utilities say
MBR, FAT, and Partition table are ok. I did flash the bios recently,
but it was working ok. I did remove some files from the root
directory because I was trying to install W2000 and it was trying
to go into W2000 setup during boot, instead of WINME.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? or what
NTLDR is? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

This should help.

Let us know what happens.

Also, if you need more help, let us know exactly what your trying to accomplish. Do you want to just install Windows 2000 to a clean drive by itself, upgrade ME to Windows 2000 or do you want to dual boot ME and 2000?

:) Bryan: Hey that was fast, I just printed out the solution and will
work on it, thanks a lot. I was trying to upgrade to windows
2000 and it would not let me because my hard drive controller
(a seagate barracuda), and I'm trying to find a resolution to this.I bought that hard drive not too long ago. Works fine in WINME
but there might be compatability problems with WIN2000 perhaps in BIOS. It's a abit BP-6 motherboard. I like W2000
especially the memory management and the networking. Any
ideas?. Anyway, again thanks, I'll let you know how it turns out.
