I have recently installed Norton Internet Security 2003 and it is creating two problems on my system.

1) When I open MY DOCUMENTS and open a word file by double clicking the document file name it takes forever to open and sometimes word stops responding.(IF I OPEN WORD FIRST AND THEN OPEN THE SELECTED FILE IT OPENS IMMEDIATELY WITH NO PROBLEM).

2) When I open the START BAR and open up ALL PROGRAMS it also takes forever to open and some times it crashes my desktop and restarts the desktop automatically.

When I turn off the firewall these problems go away.

Does anyone know how to fix these performance problems?
