To anyone who can help

Upon opening Windows 98, I get a meggage saying Norton Antivirus 2002 cannot start email protection. Then, I can't open internet explorer or NAV, as the illegal operation message comes up (Luall and explorer.exe appear to be the culprits). Afterwards, the desktop is inactivated and upon reactivation, the same problems occur. I have tried logging in safe mode and uninstalling NAV but it won't work (errors).

Any help would be much appreciated. I can open most other programs.

You never mention whether you have antispyware programms like Lavasoft Ad-aware SE Personal, Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta just released.If you don't download from www.majorgeeks.com. On the left pane under files, browse thru till you come to antispyware and load them.

These spywares can create strange things. It deleted my antivirus icon from the task bar and my keyboard won't type letters on the screen. Don't worry the softwares won't conflict one another. I even downloaded spyware blaster to run in the background when I do online banking. This spyware blaster will not get rid but it prevent spyware and key-loggers grom getting in your system when doing online banking. Hope this might help.
