Windows 98SE.Matsonic computer with built in SiS 7018 Audio Sound Card.
Help please.have been searching for answer for weeks now but can't find similar problems with a resolved ending.
Multimedia in control panel is empty-just a white screen.Have no sounds or dial tone anymore within Windows or some games.
Can play the wave files through media player bit not any midi files.
Can play music through Media player & Sonique and C.D. player works fine.Device manager shows no problems or conflicts and no problems through DirectX 9. However in System Information/Multimedia/Audio Codecs, the MCIseq.driver shows as disabled.
Have uninstalled & reinstalled SiS sound card several times.Downloaded & Updated the drivers.reinstalled mciseq.device from ad new hardware.Ran virus checkers & spybot checkers but still same problem.
