No Wi-Fi networks found

My PC won't show our mobile hotspot as a Wi-Fi network. My PC is a Windows 10 Lenovo. My dad's laptop will recognize the mobile hotspot as a Wi-Fi connection, but my PC won't. Any solutions?

Hi and welcome to TSG.

We can start with a basic question; is it a Lenovo desktop or laptop computer? Most desktop computers do not come with built-in WiFi.

Is SSID broadcasting enabled on the mobile hotspot?

Do other WiFi access points show up on your computer?

Does your computer have a WiFi status light and/or an on/off button? If so, are they showing that WiFi is enabled?

Thanks for responding. My computer is a Lenovo desktop. I am not sure how to access SSID broadcasting on the phone. It just displays the name, security password and in the advanced options it says "Use 5 GHz band when available." I'm pretty sure my computer doesn't have a Wi-Fi on/off button, the only way to turn Wi-Fi on and off is to go into network and sharing and turn it on/off that way. Also, when I picked it up from being repaired it had shown that they connected their Wi-Fi to the computer. So other wireless networks can be accessed, but not the mobile hotspot.
Please attach a screen shot of the Networks page (don't collapse the Radar, Connection or Signal History) of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector. If you need help with a screen shot see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows Vista or latter I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.
