I cannot hear sound from Internet videos, news, etc. There is no sound icon on my tray.

I had a virus and cleaned it with HiJackThis. I now use AVG and Spybot, and sweeps are clean. One of my tech guys at work said that HiJack is a very strong program and can have undesired effects.

When I reboot I get a note that "unable to load C\Documents&Settings\allusers\application data\zclshktq.dll"

My tech guy advised me to reload Windows XP, and it will reinstall any missing essential items tha tmay have been inadvertently deleted. But when I get to the MS website, I cannot get past the "install Active X" session.

G-r-r-r . . . I am wit's end. Help!

Thanks in advance - Road King

Maybe try using a different browser while viewing the one website.

Also, if you have your sound card disc you could possibly place that in and reinstall any drivers to the card.

Check your device manager and see if there are any yellow question marks or exclamation points.
- Control panel / System / Hardware / Device Manager

Hope this helps.
