Go to start->run
type devmgmt.msc

See if there is any question mark symbol beside any hardware.

Again goto start->run and type dxdiag

Then under the sound tab click "Test DirectSound"

Please help. There is no sound on my computer and it says no devices
Did you do a repair or fresh install of Windows XP?

--------------------------------------------------------------

What's the brand name, model name, and model number of your computer?

---------------------------------------------------------------

Go into the Device Manager, then click the + in

Display Adapters

Network Adapters

Other Devices

Sound Video And Game Controllers

Advise what's listed in each heading and if any of them have a question mark ( ? ), exclamation mark ( ! ), or X next to them.
