No sound in games

Sorry if this is in the wrong section:

A few days ago I unplugged my headset and plugged in speakers instead because my cousin wanted to use my computer for a movie. After I replugged in my headset and disconnected the speakers, sound no longer works for games. It works for everything else- web browsers, window sounds, etc. but just not games. This includes Steam and non-Steam games as well.
I have all the latest drivers and uninstalled + reinstalled my audio drivers twice. I use Realtek HD Audio.

I also can't hear any sound at all whenever I don't use 7.1 speakers.
