Upon adding a new message post to the Space and Science thread in Random Discussion at: http://forums.techguy.org/random-discussion/167924-science-space-thread-66.html#post4300044

I clicked on the Edit button and got no response (using Server 1).

one time server 4 wouldn't let me on the page would not load took forever those old servers are causeing too much trouble

I was finally able to post the Edit while located on Server 2.

Interesting. I haven't noticed any difference. I'm usually only lurking in the wee hours of the early morning though. Maybe that makes a difference ......

It has been slower since the move, not sure what is going on. I asked Mike, but he doesn't have an answer yet, he attributes it to traffic.

I guess we'll wait a spell and let the equipment settle into it's new location. I'm hearing of an upgrade to the board software, that might carry with it some improvements in speed, who knows.

I think the biggest thing we need is another server, but I don't know when I'll be able to pull that off yet.

It was only 700MHz x2... I was hoping it would take a few users off the other two, but ended up crashing.

yeah cause of right now if im on either 3 or 4 sometimes it will lagg very badly and If I hit refresh it freezes so I have to close the browser then when I try to get back in here the page don't open it starts then stops

It has been slower for me also a lot more after the upgrade. Even dead at times where nothing loads at all.

Yesterday morning I give up on a post I made that I could not post.

TSG at 3:15 am. after trying and trying and after a 4 min wait for the page to try and load I got this.
500 Internal Server Error

An internal server error occurred. Please try again later.

Status page showed all ok but it's not ok.

This was on server 2 and before when it was slow and dead on me it was server 1.
I have not yet seen any other servers but 1 and 2.

I've been on 1 and 2 and it's fine. I bet it also helps that I'm not too far away from the servers.

Did we ever get what was going to be server 4?

I think if you're on Server 3 anymore, you're at a different site. Mike said he took that one down because it was crashing.
