Hello there. My laptop is having a similar problem too. We have a Linksys and D-link routers. The D-link is the wireless one I think. Anywhoo, I tried system restore and that failed. My computer shows that I'm connected but I'm not. Neither Firefox or IE works. Can you pleeeeeassse help? My computer is pretty much useless without the internet .

you need to start your own thread so advisors do not get confused with who problem is being fixed

so start a new thread and give us the model numbers and how connected ie cable, telephone line - which router is cnnected to what - if you have a modem
laptop inof - make model etc

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.
