No longer a problem as I now have db connection. But I would like to leave it open just in case someone may have a solution ...
No db connection = no modal display
This is a weird one
I have a website on the go (here) for a client in Prague (she's an author) where I display excerpts from her books via a straight-forward modal overlay.
Now, the thing is that when I have connected to a database it works hunkey-dorey, but if I load the site without a db connect it just won't open any modals. (The modals are completely independant of the db).
It is not a critical problem (in fact no problem at all once her Czech Hosts have sent me the phpMyAdmin login details), but it is a weird enigma to me
