Long time no see, folks.
I have recently taken over my Parents computer, and what a mess.
It has a C: drive, obvieusly, and a CD rom, and a floppy, and a tape drive.
When I click my computer, I see drives a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l.
How can I determen witch drive is the tape drive? I looked at the properties of each drive(other than the C: and A:) and they all showed CD rom 0 bytes.
I just wanted to do a backup to tape before I started changing things.
Help me get started please.
Thanks,
Daveman1

P.S.
It's a AMD k6/300 prosseser. I guess that means 300mhz.

The floppy drive should be A and the hard drive should be C. If the hard drive has more than one partition though, it will have additional icons with D, E, and soforth. When you double-click and open My Computer, does it show multiple hard drive icons?

To access the Device Manager, right-click My Computer, left-click Properties, then left-click the Device Manager tab.
