I`m thinking about buying a new PC.My confusion is with the various types of processors.Pentium,intel celeron,AMD Athlon,ETC.Will you tell me the difference among the these types of processors.Thank you.

Currently the Intel Pentium 4 and amd athlon xp chips are the most popular.
Lower priced system will probably still be around using older amd and pentium3 chips.
The processor you buy depends on what you want to use the machine for.
