New laptop doesn't recognize peripherals properly with dock

Laptop is Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro. I'm attaching it via USB-C to a dock with ultrawide monitor, receiver for wireless keyboard and mouse, and webcam. The laptop does not properly recognize the peripherals. For example, webcam works but it's not correctly recognized as Windows Hello capable. System plays fine indicating receiver plugs into dock, but mouse doesn't function.

I've tried two different docks and each has problems of this sort, but work perfectly with my other laptop. All devices function correctly when plugged directly into laptop, bypassing dock. Would appreciate help configuring this so I can connect to my desktop setup with the single USB-C cable.

Are you using an actual Samsung dock, or just a random third party model? I'd suspect a third party model. Those seem to be hit or miss. And even when they do work, they aren't consistent.
Yes, that's right. There's only one Samsung dock, and it has a limited number of connections. I've triw about 4 different third party docks, and they all have the same issues.
How old is this device? There seems to be new releases.

You are not the only one with this issue. Unfortunately docks are not so plug and play as it can depend on the port you are using. Even Dell docks will work fine on one laptop model, but not the other. Same for Macs, we had to get a specific one to even work with 2 external monitors.
