hi there

i want to create a new hotmail account and i cant!!

everythime i type in www.hotmail.com i get the sign in screen where all i can do is sign in!

does anybody know how to create a new account please

Hello putasolution,
I have the same problem as the person above.
I want to create a second hotmail account but can't.

When I get the Hotmail page I also get the sign in screen (on the right), and I don't see Create New Account Sign Up tab anywhere on that page.
On the left I see: New to MSNHotmail , and sign up at the bottom,
But that's to "Create a Windows Live ID ",and it's not what I want.
I just want to create another account and keep the one I already have.
I would appreciate your help.

You need to delete your hotmail account cookie. The page is reading your cookie and sees that you have an account, so the "New Account" option isn't available.

From the Explorer toolbar click Tools > Internet Options and on the General tab there is a button to delete cookies, history, temporary files.

I didn't expect you to send me instructions about how to delete the cookies. Thank you!
Before I found your instructions on my posts, I scanned the PC with Ad-Adware and deleted the cookies.
But the result on the Hotmail page was the same as before.

Next, I followed your instructions.
Now, the only difference with before, is that in the sign in window, my name isn't there anymore. I need to type it.
But I still don't see "Create New Account " anywhere on the page.
I don't understand why.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Cookies. ("UserName" is your user account name).

If there are any entries in that folder, on the toolbar click "Edit" then "Select All". Click "File" then click "Delete".

Sorry to bother you with details, but I'm not an expert with computers.

After clicking on Documents & Settings, I get 2 folders.
1.All users
2.Owner .
No user name.
But after I clicked on "owner" I got the Cookies folder.

In the cookies folder I see:
1.Index (DAT File), and then a bunch of Text documents 1KB each.

[email protected][2]
[email protected] [1]
[email protected]guy{2]
[email protected][1]
[email protected][1]
[email protected][2]

I don't know if I'll need all the above in the future, and if it's safe to delete them all, without messing up my computer.
This may be a stupid question, but I'm not used to do these kinds of things with the computer.

BTW peppi it's always safe to delete the cookies. cookies are just marks of what links you have clicked while you were surfing on the internet. imagine them as footprints.

they can also be made out of chocolate chips sometimes. hehehe

I think I made a mistake.
