Could be a temperature alarm. Check in the bios to see what temp the system is running at, and if there is a setting for a temperature warning

the computer SCREECHES a really high-pitched whine whenever i try to play games, especially in graphically intense situations. what can i do to stop this annoying sound?? is it the refresh rate? what should i do??

Something to check, weird problem.
Disconnect your speakers, is it the monitor or is it coming from the speakers.

it's definitely not coming from the monitor or the speakers .... when nothing is on but the computer, it comes out of the computer case, so it must be a card!!!! ..... i don't know what the problem is .... what temp should the cpu and systems be running at? i'll check that out .... thanks a lot
