Today I received a new desktop PC from iBUYPOWER. I ordered it through Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883227142

Beautiful case, although unfortunately that's been all I've been able to appreciate so far. Shortly after booting it up for the first time, my monitor went blank. I restarted, and it was fine, but after a while the monitor went blank again.

Eventually, it stopped displaying anything, even on boot-up. It still plays the Windows Vista startup noise, so I assumed it was a problem with the video card being unseated during transit or something- used to happen to my old desktop all the time.

But I unscrewed the video card, reseated it, tightened the cables, and the exact same thing is still happening. The monitor goes blank, but it doesn't display 'no signal' and the light on the front stays green like it's still receiving input. What gives?

As an added note- I can get the display to come up for a few seconds by switching the port that the monitor cable is plugged into. There are two ports on the video card. However, the display still goes blank before getting as far as the Vista startup screen.

One of those, some look like they do not have all the cables properly connected so I might suggest checking that out. If it's against the warranty then just send it back but I would suspect it being something as simple as the graphics card not properly inserted. But yea PLEASE PLEASE READ THE WARRANTY BEFORE WE SUGGEST! It would be a shame to loose it. Also try calling there tech support :)
