I have 2 machines. Winxp pro @ 600mhz with ethernet card/dsl. My other maschine is windows 98 @450mhz and also has an ethernet card. What i am wanting to do is install another etherenet card in my xp machine to network my dsl connection/filesharing to the 98 machine. Is that possible?

In answer to your question, yes you can, they cost about $10, or you can get a router, they start around $30 and are much less trouble to set up.

I have a p2 450mhz slot 1 pc I just built with win98. The only ram i had avaiable is 2 sticks of sdram @ 133mhz. Knowin that my bus speed on processor is 100mhz...will that ram be the reason my pc gives me unexpected program errors? Or should i go and get sdram at 100mhz? Also, the only operating system it will take is windows 98. Xp never gets past the Hardware installation when it detects my Geforce4 420mx 64mb video card before it freezes up. (didnt' know if that would help)

Unless the sticks of RAM are bad, they are not your problem. PC133 can be used interchangeably with PC100 (it will automatically run at the right speed), but not he other way around.

Without knowing the Mfg. of your video I can't say for sure, but I found one on Newegg, and it said it was compatible with XP, but there were a lot of negative comments. You may have a bad video card.
