Network Adapter not working correctly

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with a network adapter on a laptop that I have. Wireless capabilities won't work no matter what I do, but Ethernet seems to work just fine. I've tried replacing the adapter, disabling/enabling, uninstalling drivers and updating drivers but with no luck. It says that "The device is working correctly." But it obviously isn't. The laptop is a Dell XPS L502X running Windows 10. There has been no hardware changes done to it the network adaper just died suddenly. Willing to try anything to attempt to fix this issue. Thank you.

What wireless card is in it now ? What was the original wireless card ? Did the problem start after upgrading to Windows 10 ?

Go into the Device Manager, then expand the Network Adapters heading.
What's the exact name of the Intel wireless device listed there?

Double-click that Intel wireless device to open its properties window, then click the "Driver" tab.
What's the exact driver version listed there?

Click the "Details" tab, then select "Hardware Ids" in the list.
What's the exact 4-character codes that follow VEN_ and DEV_ in those strings?

If it is an Intel wireless device, the vendor code should be 8086.

What wireless card is in it now ? What was the original wireless card ? Did the problem start after upgrading to Windows 10 ?
The original, intel centrino 1030n. No it was working normally for a long time, it just now stopped.
Please do what Frank said in post #3.

According to what you said in post #4, your laptop may have an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1030 wireless device.
That can be confirmed by you replying to post #3 and providing the 4-character vendor and device codes.

Also advise us what the 7-character service tag/serial number is on your laptop.
That will confirm its model name and model number and what wireless device it came with.
