After a few hours of use the computer drops the DSL connection to the server. Some times it drops when not in use.
I am useing 98SE with 256 of ram and a 800mhz system with netscape 4.72.
When I check file size in explorer I find the inbox has 85meg in it, but the file is empty. Also I find that the sent folder has over 7 meg and it also is empty. The trash folder shows over 1 meg and it to is empty.
I have reloaded 4.72 with no effect.
When the computer drops the DSL connnection you can not connect again with our turning off the computer and then restart.
Any ideas what I can do about the size of the empty folders and is this causing the dropping of the connection?

I think it is under the file menu when in the mail, there should be an option to compact floders. Try that. That shouldn't be causing the connection to drop though. You might want to contact your ISP for that.

Tried that and nothing happened. The inbox shows empty, but shows 80 meg in MS explorer.
Can I delete the inbox file and will netscape bring back the file?
